Strategy
The standard Gyarados line on the current singles Reg M-B ladder is the Mega Dragon Dance sweeper. It comes in on a passive target or a forced switch, uses Intimidate to cut the opponent's Attack, then Mega Evolves into Water/Dark Mega Gyarados with Mold Breaker, bypassing abilities like Sturdy, Unaware and Thick Fat. From there it stacks Dragon Dance to outrun the field while chipping or cleaning with Waterfall, Earthquake for Electric/Rock answers, and Power Whip to smash bulky Water-types that wall its STAB combo. Tera Water is the usual pick to remove residual weaknesses and turn Waterfall into an unresisted nuke.
